Our Approach Is Grounded In:
At NuFound21, our work centers survivors while recognizing the complexity of harm. While accountability is essential, harm can exist within deeply personal relationships, leaving survivors to navigate conflicting realities over time.
We recognize that cycles of harm do not exist in isolation. In some cases, those who cause harm have also experienced harm themselves. While we do not provide direct services to those individuals, we offer education, tools, and resources that promote accountability and the interruption of harmful cycles without minimizing survivors’ experiences.

Why It Matters
Meaningful change requires honest conversations, clear boundaries, and a commitment to addressing harm in all its complexity.

What we define as Familial Trafficking & Sexual Violence
Familial sexual violence is abuse or exploitation within a family or trusted relationship, often involving someone a person depends on. This creates a deep imbalance of power and may include coercion, manipulation, or exploitation that is often hidden or normalized.
Because the harm occurs within the family, survivors may experience confusion, loyalty, fear, or lack of support, making it harder to seek help. The impact can be long-lasting, affecting identity, boundaries, and emotional safety.
Healing does not always begin with words. Through fashion and art, youth can explore safety, identity, and self-expression in ways that feel natural and empowering—allowing healing to happen without pressure.

We are actively building our team and seeking volunteers, interns, and allies to help combat familial sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. If you're interested in joining our efforts, please reach out to us through our Interns & Volunteer page.
